# Megan Mehta

> Megan Mehta is a Bay Area machine learning scientist working on AI safety, on the founding team at VAIL (Verifiable AI Layer). She graduated from UC Berkeley in 2025 with a B.A. in Data Science and a B.S. in Society & Environment, is a pediatric heart transplant recipient and organ donation advocate, and founded the Megan Mehta Family Foundation, a California nonprofit serving hospitalized children.
